I don't love you, I love who you are.

Is there even a difference between these two statements?
I think "I love you" has become so commonplace that it has lost nearly all value and a distinction needs to be made.
"I love who you are" is about being appreciative of a person because of who they are.
It's about caring for someone because of the effect they have on you, or because of how they approach an obstacle, or because of the way they think.
I think it shows a deeper commitment to a relationship and to a person than simply "I love you".

With that said, I love who you are.
